Bungi Jump, a popular sport for a daredevil, has a simple rule. Just go up a high place. Fasten ankles with a flexible rope. Then, pierce down. When the rope is tight, its flexibility will make you bounce. That is all you must pay for to buy challenge and something breathtaking. But the picture in front of you is "Bungi Jump" created by pure nature. At 30 metres in height of a tower made of branches above the ground, a body drifted downwards a shady forest along with a speed of over 60 km per hour. When the liana tied to the man's ankles was tight, his body sprang up and down in the air. ccasionally, that body touched the ground. A roar indicating pain resounded all over a forest. It was something like the sphere which bumped against the gmund and rolled downwards. The cause of this mistake was that the liana used for chaining his ankles was torn. An assistant on the ground tried to support the injured one. The outcome of the courage he wanted to release was either a broken back or death. For this time, the daring jumper was David. Fortunately, to some extent, the liana tore, and his body dashed against the ground. But he was alright. Just 2-3 bruised spots appeared. In the same evening, we also saw him dancing on Pentecost Islands towards South Pacific, the origin of Bungi Jump. According to a past story,it is told that it started from a quarrel of a couple. Unable to endure ceaseless beatings from her man, the woman tried to run away. Firstly, she fled to hide in a forest. Unluckily, the man found her. She then climbed up a high tree. As usual, her husband who made a great effort finally chased her. So the woman helplessly plunged down to the bottom. Meanwhile, the man who cared nothing followed her to meet nothingness on the ground. He was dead. But the woman diving down before him survived because of a liana at her ankles. But, at present, Bungi Jump with the liana wrapped round ankles becomes a matter of men. After a harvest in the summer, they started to prepare themselves for a celebration. One week before joyfulness, there would be selecting a site on a hill and cutting the tree around to make a circle. Then, built a tower from branches and used lianas for holding those branches for 4-6 days to make the formed tower endure effectively. There is always the situation which plucks a jumper's life mostly from a torn liana especially in the time before or at the beginning of the rainy season, when a liana is easily torn due to dryness and frailty. Taking those lianas is considered an adventure. They had to climb up to cut the tip before bringing it to measure and cut the end for 2 metres between the ground and the end. Finally, the day of courage came. At 10:00 a.m. below the tower, villagers were enjoying dancing and singing. Today was special to some extent from that a 6-years-old boy would be the first jumper. He spread his arms and let himself plunge down.Afterwards, his father shouldered him and walked around a village with the eyes shining the spark of pride. He could pass the test regarded as his first courageous test.
